Increased ethnic and racial diversity is one of the most compelling sociodemographic changes affecting Canada today. Significant changes in the composition of families are transforming notions of multiculturalism, multilinguistic services, and multi-religious observances. In response to these changes, “Chai with Molly” provides a critical cultural lens of contemporary issues impacting diverse families living in Canada. Molly’s talk show, dedicated to the multicultural mosaic of its viewers, is an important resource for diverse families. Molly provides needed space for discussing issues that are relevant to her viewers and she helps to build the knowledge, awareness and tools needed for diverse families to navigate and negotiate their lives within the Canadian context, while emphasizing the plurality of these experiences.
